Changi Airport enforces new security measures on Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LAGs) from 8 May 2007

New measures restricting the carriage of LAGs in hand-carry luggage on all flights departing Changi Airport and Seletar Airport will be enforced from 8 May 2007.

Restrictions include:

1. LAGs must be stored in containers that has a maximum capacity of not more than 100 ml each .
2. Containers must be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag (completely closed) with a maximum capacity not exceeding 1-litre .

3. Only one transparent re-sealable plastic bag per passenger.
4. The transparent re-sealable plastic bag must be presented separately for examination at the security screening point.
5. Exemptions will be made for medications, baby food and special dietary items .
6. You can continue to purchase LAG items like perfumes at the airport ; but these will be placed in a sealed tamper-evident bag by the shop with the receipt clearly displayed.
7. You are advised to check with the respective airlines and Changi Airport website ( www.changiairport.com ) for detailed information on the new measures before arriving at the airport.
